Why send my sales message by email?
Well of course you could place an ad in one of the hotel trade publications and that’s great but the problem with ‘on the page’ ads is that readers can just skip past them without noticing. An email has to be dealt with even if it is just to delete it, and it won’t be deleted without the recipient being aware of it. Then there is the benefit of over 7000 of your messages being consciously seen by all of these hotels. As the old saying goes ‘it’s a numbers game’ out of all of these recipients a percentage of them will have an interest in your product or service, if it is relevant to their business.
Why don’t I create my own database of hotel emails to send out my message to?
Again you could, but how long would it take you to build such a list, where would you find this information and how up to date would it be by the time you are ready to send your message out. Hotels change hands and get renamed, they change their website address and their email address on a regular basis. Because our database is constantly being updated all of the addresses are up to date. How would you send your message, it is virtually impossible to send from a regular email address and if you did you can very quickly find that your email address is blocked by recipients service providers and marked as a spammer. We use a dedicated email system that is recognised by the major service providers and not treated as spam.
Why don’t I buy in a readymade database of hotel email addresses?
You could try but we don’t know of any list that you can buy with any substantial number of email addresses, and if you could, how up to date would it be and how would you send out your message.
Can I just buy your database?
No, I’m sorry but our database is not for sale. If you could it would cost several thousands of pounds, but it’s not for sale..sorry.
How many replies will I get?
This is virtually impossible to predict as it depends on the product or service that you are offering but the great thing about sending your message by email is that the enquiries tend to come in over a period of time. For example one that we sent out recently received 47 enquiries immediately and then a trickle of additional ones over a period of time. Your email could receive more or less than this but these numbers are real figures from an actual campaign. Our database is updated and cleansed on a weekly basis, this way you know that your message is reaching real hotels right now. If we ever get a ‘bounced’ email it is removed from our database completely until we can establish a new address for the hotel concerned.
What kind of hotels are in the database?
The majority of our database consists of hotels and larger guest houses with 10 bedrooms or more. There are some with less but not many. The database does not include any duplicate addresses all are unique. For example if there are 300 hotels in a chain and they all used the same email address (unlikely anyway) we would only list that address once. If they all had different email addresses then we would include as many in the database as we could. This way you know that you are paying for delivery to 7000+ individual and different addresses.
What can my email contain?
Just like any advertising campaign you need to ‘sell’ your product or service but you are not limited to a number of words. The email will obviously be one ‘page’ but this can, within reason, be as long as you like. There can be a main message with an image along with other products or services supplementary to the main message. It can be in the form of a newsletter or sales letter. We will use one of our standard templates to create your message for you based on the text and images that you provide.
How often can I send an email using this system?
As often as you like but don’t overdo it. We would not recommend the same or a very similar message being sent out to our database more than once a month.
How much does it cost?
There is a one off charge of £399 for each mailshot to the database. There are no other costs involved. This is less than you might spend on a traditional 'on page' magazine ad. You provide your message, we send it out, you receive the enquiries and follow them up. Simple.
